Melissa is an operations specialist with over 15 years of experience working on multiple largescale, complex projects spanning the institutional, commercial, industrial and residential sectors. She started with Gillam 13 years ago and has held the positions of Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager before taking on her current role.
As Associate Director, Melissa is responsible for supporting the Operations Management Team (OMT) and Project Teams with the overall direction, coordination, financial performance, technical execution and quality delivery of large, complex construction projects or multiple projects simultaneously. She partners closely with Leadership Management Team (LMT) to ensure project success through effective planning, resource management and proactive problem-solving. Where necessary, Melissa assists the OMT and project teams in maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring client needs are understood and addressed throughout the project lifecycle. She also identifies and develops new processes and policies to help improve Gillam and support our effort to deliver on our projects.
In 2020, Melissa won Gillam’s prestigious Kaizen Award which is presented to a Team Member who brings improvement or change to better the organization.
