Golf Canada engaged Gillam as Construction Manager to oversee preconstruction and construction management services for a new national headquarters. Golf Canada and Osprey Valley announced a major partnership to build a new Home for Canadian Golf. The project involves the National Sport Federation relocating its corporate base of operations to TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley located at Main Street and Beech Grove Sideroad in Caledon, Ontario. Golf Canada is undertaking a 3,175 square metre (Gross Area at one below grade + two above grade) building, leasehold improvements, technology, equipment and furniture. In addition to Golf Canada’s national headquarters, the vision for the Canadian golf campus on the grounds of TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley also included the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum and the national headquarters for First Tee – Canada which will include a publicly accessible 18-hole community putting course and next generation high-performance training amenities. Phase one of the Home for Canadian Golf project included the corporate headquarters, a reinvigoration of the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum and a 30,000 square foot community putting course. Phase two includes the creation of a stand-alone, world-class training centre for a variety of Golf Canada’s sport development programs including First Tee – Canada which will support coaching education and programming for First Tee chapters across Canada.
