The Wildlife Health Centre Project is the largest project undertaken by Toronto Zoo in recent years. Located in the northern quadrant of the 710 Acre site, adjacent to the Zoo Administration Offices and Maintenance Facilities construction will be coordinated to maintain Zoo Operations.

The project includes demolition of existing Wildlife Health Centre and constructing a new two level 32,500 sq.ft. state-of-the art facility to take care of the 5000 animals that call Toronto Zoo their home.

The new Wildlife Health Centre will include holding areas, a surgical suite, radiology, intensive care unit, gamete, assay and necropsy laboratories and research spaces, together with veterinary staff, and research technologist offices. Additionally, the second floor hosts a viewing area for the public to observe the care of the animals.
