York University is a public research university in Toronto, Ontario. It is Canada’s third-largest university with approximately 55,000 students, 7,000 faculty and staff, and 275,000 alumni worldwide. York University retained Gillam Group Inc. to provide project management and scheduling services for a fast-track renovation to Wood Residence, a student residence containing 187 rooms and ancillary spaces, at its Glendon Campus in Toronto near Bayview Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East. The scope of work included: Upgrades and reconfiguration of washrooms to a more contemporary style Incorporation of AODA guidelines into the design Upgrading of the electrical distribution system Removal and replacement of interior finishes The work proceeded over the summer of 2015.
